When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, display name, birthday (month/day/year), and role selection. Profile information you provide (bio, avatar, social links) is stored in our database. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Your information is used to provide and improve the 8BFR Music Network platform, display your profile to other users, enable social features (friends, follows, messages), process verification requests, and communicate important platform updates.
Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We retain your data as long as your account is active.

8BFR takes children's privacy seriously. Users 12 and under can only access KidZone with verified parental consent. Parents must verify their identity through Didit before creating child accounts. KidZone data is kept separate from the main platform. Children cannot access adult sections, DMs with strangers, or external links. All KidZone activity is logged and monitored. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent. Parents can request deletion of their child's data at any time.

We use local storage and session storage for authentication and user preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising trackers. We do not display third-party ads.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only when required by law or to protect the safety of our users (particularly minors), or with your explicit consent.
