8BFR exists to give independent artists, beatmakers, producers, and music lovers a platform that actually works for them. No gatekeepers. No labels deciding who gets heard. Just music, community, and real connections.
We use an algorithm, but unlike other platforms, ours is designed to help independent creators get discovered, not bury them. Every song uploaded gets played on our community radio. The more your audience engages, the higher you climb in our charts.
80/20 Honor System: When you sell music or beats on 8BFR, you receive 100% of the payment directly from the buyer via PayPal. As an honor system, sellers send 20% to 8BFR to support the platform.
Real Community: Feed, chat rooms, DMs, stories, groups, pages, playlists, dedications. A full social network built around music.
Beat Store: Producers upload their own beats, set their own prices, and provide their own license agreements. Buyers pay producers directly.
Verified Artists and Beatmakers: Submit your Spotify link to get verified. Verified creators can upload and sell music on the platform.
Creator Tools: AI-powered tools through Producer AI, available to all users, for album covers, music promotion, translation, writing, and more.
Radio: Continuous play of community-uploaded music. Every song gets heard.
Charts and Algorithm: Songs are ranked by plays, likes, and engagement. The algorithm rewards real listener activity.
Games and Coins: Earn coins through activity and games, or buy them in the Coin Shop. Spend them on tips, stickers, upgrades, and more.
Selling Music and Beats: Buyers pay sellers directly via PayPal. Sellers receive 100% at the point of sale, then honor the 80/20 split by sending 20% to 8bfr.music at gmail. If a seller consistently does not honor the split, the owner reserves the right to revoke selling privileges.
Subscriptions: Optional paid tiers unlock premium features like the verified badge, profile upgrades, and enhanced visibility. The platform itself is free to use.
Coins: Earn coins through activity, games, and referrals, or purchase them in the Coin Shop. You never need to buy coins to use the platform, but the option is there if you want more.

8BFR was created by James Siburt, a music lover who got tired of platforms that do not care about independent artists. Built from scratch on a phone using Termux, Supabase, and pure determination.
KidZone (12 and Under) - A parent must create their own account, verify their identity, and then create the child's account as a sub-account. Parents receive a Parent Badge that makes them a moderator for their child. No main site access, no DMs, no purchases for kids.
Teen (13-15) - Main site access with parental consent. No tipping, no purchases, no live streaming. 2-hour daily default.
Full Access (16+) - Everything unlocked.
This complies with COPPA and emerging state laws. Read our full age policy.
The platform is monitored for safety purposes. Any illegal activity, especially involving minors, results in an immediate permanent ban and law enforcement referral. Parents with the Parent Badge can monitor their child's activity directly.
